If I may interject, a large chunk of you are mad about the wrong thing.

You shouldn’t be mad Watson is a female. Honestly, I would have preferred if they had just outright gender-swapped. That would have been awesome.

But, if they made Watson a woman just so she could be in a relationship with Sherlock, then that is bullshit. Or if they make her a lesbian, I’ll blow a gasket. Just platonic friendship. They exist.

What you all should be mad about is this:

Liu will play an ex-surgeon and former NYPD consultant who works as a “sober companion” to Holmes, a recovering addict and former Scotland Yard consultant played by Jonny Lee Miller.


That’s right folks, they are stripping Watson of everything that makes Watson a badass. No longer is Watson an ex-army surgeon who has seen war, now Watson is basically Holmes’ sponsor. Because she lost her license due to a patient death. 

I’m going to hate-watch the shit out of this show. I’m not part of the neilsen ratings system. My watching of things doesn’t count.
